Fashion models find new platform on Taobao

Editor's note: The online shopping craze in China has brought extensive new opportunities to fashion models. A professional model can make about 200,000 yuan (US$30,340) to 300,000 yuan (US$45,510) a day posing for sellers on Taobao.com, China's largest online shopping platform. A popular model can have an annual income of more than 10 million yuan (US$1.52 million). These huge profits have attracted girls from both China and abroad to join the modeling industry.
