Editor's note: Chen Qiuju, 25, has been teaching at Leyang Primary School in southwest China's Sichuan Province for eight years. She is the school's youngest teacher and has devoted herself heart and soul to the children in this remote rural area. Their family situations differ to some extent, with nearly two-thirds of the 37 fifth grade students Chen teaches left behind by their parents seeking jobs in far-off cities, and most come from single-child families. Chen feels a greater responsibility to educate students in a well-rounded way and pays close attention to moral education. "I hope my students will become people who understand gratitude, hard work and love," she said. The following pictures tell the story of Chen and her 37 students in which a strong relationship has been established between them.
