Editor's note: What do you do with your extra plastic shopping bags? Artist Wang Enlai has found a particularly creative solution to the problem – turning them into art. His work entitled "Waves" has recently appeared in a shopping center in downtown Shanghai where more than 200 green plastic bags, under the control of several ventilating fans, form a magnificent scene of rolling waves. Wang was born in Dalian, Liaoning Province, and graduated from the Sculpture Department of the China Central Academy of Fine Arts with a bachelor's degree. Currently, he lives and works in Beijing. "I don't care about the symbolic meaning of the material itself. Instead, I attach great importance to the inner logic of my works and the environment in which it is located," he said.
