Palace Museum opens new part

The museum has opened the western pathway from Duanhong Bridge to Cining Palace to let visitors choose from a larger selection of tour routes ahead of the National Day holiday. The newly opened area features the royal icehouse. The new routes have increased the area open to the public to 76 percent of the total, a rise of 11 percent over last year.
