Editor's note: Machinery and vehicle exports have enjoyed a continuous growth in the port of Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province, in spite of an adverse global trade situation. Statistics from the Lianyungang Port Group show that, a total of 6,883 vehicles have been exported from the port, 2,838 of which are cars, buses and passenger carriages. As one of the largest ports in China, Lianyungang has given priority to the development of roll-on/roll-off machinery and vehicle shipment service in its overall port development plan, with export volume steadily ranking top three in the country.
