Editor's note: An exhibition of Dongyang bamboo weaving crafts made by artist He Fuli is being held at the Zhejiang Provincial Museum in Hangzhou. A total of 76 pieces/groups of his representative works are a feast to the eyes, bringing visitors to an exquisite bamboo art world. Dongyang bamboo weaving is a traditional Chinese handicraft originating from Dongyang of Zhejiang Province more than 1,200 years ago. It was included in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List in 2008. He Fuli, 62, is famed as a "master of Dongyang bamboo weaving" and many of his works have won national awards. He has been invited to the Imperial Palace Museum to repair the cultural relics of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) and to restore their original appearance.
