Editor's note: The new college graduates of 2017 flock to the capital city from all over the country forming a new group of young people "drifting along" in the city of over 20 million people.

Hou Luopeng is from Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province. Having graduated from a local university with a major in photography, Hou dreams of becoming an excellent photographer in the future. He has a passion for Beijing and hopes to find a job in the capital city. He's staying with a relative for the time being. "There are only two things I'm doing every day: sending out resumes and going to interviews. I hope I can find a job as soon as possible so that I can earn money to support myself and give no more further burden to my parents," he said.
