Editor's Note: Hainan, a southern Chinese province well-known for its scenery, has been vitalizing the historical and cultural elements of its parks in an effort to develop its tourism industry.

Wenlan Cultural Park in Lingao, Hainan Province covers an area of approximately 2 million square meters and features memorial archways, pillar couplets, stone sculptures and calligraphic inscriptions showcasing the major events and figures in Chinese history. [Photo by Zhang Jiaqi/China.org.cn]
