More than 140 cultural relics worth some tens of millions yuan were returned to the Yongcheng Heritage Area in Fengxiang county, Shaanxi Province, after they were stolen by black market traffickers. Among the looted treasures, a set of handled ewers have been identified as "Level I" artifacts by experts. The traffickers were arranging to sell the ewers for 660 thousand yuan ($99,480) to overseas buyers when they were arrested by police. According to police representatives in Fengxiang county, most of those arrested once worked on the archaeological surveys of the area. (Photo/Xinhua)
