Parts of Elements of Geometry, the Manchu language version of Euclid's Elements are on display at an exhibition in a library in Hohhot, North China's Inner Mongolia, Dec.19, 2017. Translated by French missionaries, Zhang Cheng (Jean Francois Gerbillon, 1654–1707) and Bai Jin (Joachim Bouvet, 1656–1730), the rare handwritten copy was presented as textbook to Emperor Kangxi(1661-1722), who added comments of his own in red color.
