The Chengdu Field Research Centre for Giant Pandas, also known as Panda Valley, covers an area of 2,004 mu, roughly equivalent to 134 hectares. It is located in southwest China’s Dujiangyan city. Nearby is the Dujiangyan irrigation system constructed around 256 BC and still in use today, as well as the Qingcheng Mountains, a major shrine of the Chinese Taoism. [Photo by Li Na/China.org.cn]
