The Lhasa-Nyingchi High-Grade Highway, which starts from Lhasa, the capital city of China's Tibet Autonomous Region, and ends at Bayi town of Nyingchi city, stretches some 409.2 kilometers.
The highway, which was completed in 2018, has reduced the travel time between the two cities from 8 hours to 4 hours.
Road maintenance workers on the highway take turns conducting routine checks four times a day to guarantee its safe and smooth operation.
