First panda cub of 2019 born in Chengdu

A captive-bred giant panda gave birth to the first cub of the year in Chengdu, capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province. The female cub, weighing 166.8 grams was born at 1:22 a.m. on June 5,2019 at Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. It is the world's first captive-bred panda born in 2019.
