Editor's note:The balmy morning breeze caressed India House in Beijing's Chaoyang District on June 21 as nearly 1,000 people from home and abroad came to celebrate the 5th International Day of Yoga. The celebration began with a video clip of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivering an address on Yoga's significance for humanity. Following Ambassador Vikram Misri's speech about Yoga's role in promoting culture exchange between China and India, participants took a 40-minute public yoga class involving various postures and breathing exercises demonstrated by renowned yoga gurus. In addition, the latter also performed several advanced yoga poses as a way of celebrating their unique culture for mental and physical wellbeing.
