Sun Liandong of Jiangsu province, east China, has succeeded in using dough sculpting technique to carry forward the local tradition. As an inheritor of dough figurine, a city-level intangible cultural heritage, Sun spent one and a half months sculpting three sets of works. Themed poverty-alleviation, the dough figurines demonstrate how the CPC members are doing their best to help lift the general public out of poverty.
