Editor's note:

Ten floral displays have been built along Chang'an Avenue in Beijing to celebrate the centenary of the Communist Party of China (CPC). Themed "Remaining true to the CPC's original aspiration and keeping its mission firmly in mind," the displays look back over the Party's historic journey and portray China's promising future toward fully building a modern socialist country.

Set against a background of the Party's flag are models of the site of the first National Congress of the CPC in Shanghai, and the Red Boat, on which the CPC's founders convened a historic meeting in 1921.
