US inflation remains elevated in September amid supply chain disruptions

U.S. inflation remained elevated in September as supply chain disruptions have persisted for months, the Labor Department reported on Wednesday. The consumer price index (CPI) increased 0.4 percent in September after rising 0.3 percent in August.
