The Wanshou Pavilion at Wanshou Temple (Temple of Longevity), Beijing, Nov. 17, 2022. Located in Haidian district of Beijing, Wanshou Temple was built in the 16th century during the Ming dynasty (1368-1644) and once served as a place of celebration for imperial families. Dubbed the "Little Forbidden City," the Buddhist temple underwent five large-scale repairs and reopened to the public in September after a five-year renovation project as a place to house and protect cultural relics, display exhibitions, and provide history education for citizens.
