SW China's Yibin adheres to green development

This photo taken on June 30, 2023 shows a scene at the bamboo island in Jiang'an County of Yibin, southwest China's Sichuan Province. Located on the Yangtze River, bamboo island consists of an afforested area of 2.6 square kilometers, a loop of 3.5 kilometers, a waterside walkway of 4.5 kilometers, as well as a bamboo museum, a skywalk, an amusement park and other supporting facilities. Yibin, where the rivers of Jinsha and Minjiang converge into the Yangtze River, is known as the first city on the Yangtze River. Taking ecological conservation as its priority, Yibin has made every effort in pursuing green development in recent years. The city has implemented comprehensive and systematic environmental management on the Yangtze River, achieved continuous progress, and gradually improved the layout of new energy and new material industries.
