Chinese Brand Wins Appreciation in the United Nations

On July 16, led by Mark, an expert from the Division of Conference Management of the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG), a total of 30 experts on intelligent building and acoustics paid a field visit to the conference system renovation project undertaken by China’s Taiden Industry (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd.

During the visit, Mark reassured himself that Taiden was the best choice. The company managed to provide customized conference management system and state-of-the-art video equipment, which won the gratitude of the UNOG and enhanced the popularity of Chinese-created brands.

In 2011, Taiden, by right of its strength, replaced prestigious old brands like Bosch as the one in charge of the UNOG’s conference system renovation project, crashing the monopoly of European brands and adding Chinese stuff to the headquarter building of the UNOG.

As an important place to discuss and deal with world affairs, the UNOG has been very fastidious with conference systems. By May, 2013, a number of 10 conference halls, including the Security Council Chamber, Trusteeship Council Chamber and the Economic and Social Council Chamber, had been fitted with Taiden’s conference systems. Now, renovation in another 10 conference halls is underway.

In the Security Council Chamber, Mark said, sound devices should meet high standards. Thanks to Taiden’s units, all conference halls at the UNOG have quit using public address systems.

In the Trusteeship Council Chamber, Mark said, with the electronic name tag conference system, attendees present can sign in with IC cards, with all information shown on electronic name tags, greatly improving management efficiency and saving manpower.

In the Economic and Social Council Chamber, Mark specially introduced Taiden’s paperless multimedia conference terminal. The system supports functions like conference speaking, electronic voting, simultaneous interpretation and data sharing, realizing the synchronization of digital recording and high-definition video.

At the end of the visit, Mark brought all visitors to the computer room of conference halls, known as “the brain” behind UNOG technical equipment. He said that all conference halls were connected to the master control room through an optical fiber system, and all equipment were also provided by Taiden. With customized services, Taiden has successfully helped the UNOG deal with conference affairs in a more efficient and convenient way.
