The Golf World Cup 2011 will kick off in Haikou, the capital city of South China's Hainan Province and preparation work including reception, hotels and security has been ready to welcome its coming, organizers said on Tuesday.
The Cup, slated from Nov. 24 to 27, attracts six top golfers among the world's top 20 and five Grand Prix champions.
These players include Rory McIlroy, the most potential star and the champion of the US Open 2011 and his partner McDowell and the German famous Kemer, PGA Championship 2010 and Charl Schwartzel, a professional golfer in South Africa as well as Louis Oosthuizen, the champion of the British Open 2010.
So far, many golfers have arrived in Haikou to get a familiar with the golf course and make some warm-ups.
The four-day event also attracts 580 journalists from all over the world and 148 TV stations will have a live or relay broadcast of this World Cup.
