Ferrari's Fernando Alonso was the fastest in the last free practice session with a lap of one minute 35.391 seconds for the 2013 Formula One Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai on Saturday.
Under cloudy skies Lewis Hamilton had set the pace with a lap of 1:36.065, which undercut teammate Nico Rosberg by half a second. But on soft rubber at the end of the session Felipe Massa went fastest with 1m 36.013s before Alonso went another six-tenths quicker to take the honors.
Behind Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber jumped their Red Bulls to fourth and fifth with 1:36.286 and 1:36.420 respectively, as Adrian Sutil took sixth for Force India on 1:36.549 from Lotus's Kimi Raikkonen on 1:36.605. Jenson Button and Sergio Perez in their McLarens finished eighth and ninth respectively.
