Armenia smashed Denmark 4-0 Tuesday in a 2014 World Cup qualifier on the road in Parken, Denmark, crushing the hope of the Danish team to qualify for the 2014 Brazil.
Armenia scored the first goal after only 27 seconds into the game by Yura Movsisyan and only 20 minutes later the score was 2-0.
After the pause the Danish team tried to get back in the fight but did not succeed. Instead Armenia's Movsisyan scored his second goal to 3-0 after 14 minutes into the second half before Mkhitaryan sealed the victory with a 81st-minute goal.
The Danish coach Morten Olsen called it the worst evening in his long life in football but took full responsibility for the rather surprising result. It is now discussed if Morten Olsen will continue as coach for the Danish national team after 13 years on the post.
