Italy were held to a shock 2-2 draw by Haiti on Tuesday in their final warm-up match before the Confederations Cup. ' The Azzurri, with a team largely made up of reserves, appeared set for a comfortable victory at the Sao Januario stadium after goals either side of half-time from Emanuele Giaccherini and Claudio Marchisio.
But Pascal Millien struck from the penalty spot with five minutes remaining before Jean-Philippe Peguero equalized in stoppage time.
The result broke a run of six straight defeats for the Caribbean nation.
Italy open their Confederations Cup campaign against Mexico at Rio de Janeiro's Maracana stadium on Sunday.
