Real Madrid confirm signing of James Rodriguez

James Rodriguez has officially been unveiled as a Real Madrid player in front of a packed crowd at the Bernabeu after completing his big-money move from Monaco.

It is believed Madrid paid around 80 million euros for James, which would make him the fourth-most expensive player of all time, behind only Luis Suarez, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale. More »

Liverpool close on Manquillo

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is interested in striking a deal to bring young Atletico Madrid defender Javier Manquillo to Anfield.

Arsenal have been in talks for the past fortnight with the left-back over a similar season-long loan move, with a view to a permanent deal.

However, Liverpool look favourites to land the 20-year-old, who only featured three times for Atletico last season.

Klopp to keep Dortmund stars

Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp has ruled out selling Marco Reus or Mats Hummels this summer.

"Both will stay here this season. There is no indication they'd want to be elsewhere," Klopp told the German press.

"Did they also say €20m (£16m) (for Hummels)? When papers mention such numbers you know it is garbage."

Man City set to swoop for Drogba

Manchester City are planning to hijack Didier Drogba's return to Chelsea by making a rival bid for the striker.

Manuel Pellegrini needs reinforcements up front after Alvaro Negredo was ruled out for up to fourth months with a broken metatarsal. Drogba was expected to return to old club Chelsea but could elect instead to move to the Etihad.

Tiago signs new Atletico Madrid deal to end Chelsea return

Atletico Madrid midfielder Tiago Mendes ends speculation over a Chelsea return as he signs new two-year contract

The 33-year-old originally turned down offers of a contract and was widely reported to be set for a switch back to Chelsea at the end of last season as a free agent, but the move failed to materialise.

Man United ready to break transfer records

Woodward insisted United new manager Van Gaal has no fixed budget this summer, with the Old Trafford giants able to join big spenders Real Madrid and Barcelona in lavishing £60million-£70million on a single player.

United have been strongly linked with Arturo Vidal, Borussia Dortmund's Germany centre-back Mats Hummels and several members of the Holland squad Van Gaal coached at this summer's World Cup. More »
