World No. 1 Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia secured his seat in the final of the BWF World Championships after beating home player Viktor Axelsen in two straight sets on Saturday.

Lee, set to win his first world title as his long-time rival Lin Dan was absent from the game, made a one-sided victory of 21-9 and 21-7 at Ballerup Super Areana with an audience of over 3,000.

Lee will have to beat the winner between China's Chen Long and Indonesia's Tommy Sugiarto before he nets his first world champion.

Lee said it would be "a tough game" if he meets Chen Long in the final, but he said he would try his best, noting that his injuries were not a concern for him.
