The hosts China won four more gold medals on the second day of the FINA Short Course World Cup Beijing on Saturday while Hungary's world champion Katinka Hosszu became the biggest winner here.
China's backstroke specialist Xu Jiayu won the men's 50-meter back in 23.29 seconds. Xu also took a silver in the 200m back with a time of 1:50.61, while the gold was claimed by Australia's Larkin Mitchell in 1:48.69.
China's Cao Yue won the women's 400m free in 4:00.72 and Li Shuang edged Beijing Olympic champion Liu Zige to win the women's 200m fly in 2:04.34. Liu came second in 2:05.68.
China also won the mixed 4x50m freestyle relay in 1:31.69.
Hungary's swimming star Hosszu, who claimed four gold Friday, continued her good form on Saturday as she won the 400m and 100m individual medley and 100m backstroke.
Hosszu won the 100m medley in 58.11, while China's London Olympic champion Ye Shiwen came second in 58.36.
"She competed in so many events here while I just took part in one, and she still beat me, so I feel she was much better than me this time," said Ye. "I didn't train well after the Asian Games."
China's rising star Ning Zetao, the men's 100m free Asian record holder, finished third in the 50m free with 21.35. The gold was claimed by South Africa's Olympic champ Chad Le Clos in 21.28.
"It's my best time so I am happy," said Ning.
Le Clos, who won the 100m free, 50m and 200m butterfly Friday, said he was happy with the 50m free title but disappointed about missing the 100m fly final.
"I was slipping this morning," said Le Clos, who didn't make the 100m fly final. "I want to win the 50m, 100m and 200m fly at Doha World Championships in December."
