After one overtime, a perfect record was still in the hands of Liaoning.

The Chinese Basketball League leaders rallied from 18 points down to beat Guangdong 116-112 in overtime, improving their wining streak to 11 games, the longest for Liaoning in the CBA history.

But the defeat spoiled Guangdong veteran Zhu Fangyu's joy over becoming the first CBA player to reach the 10,000-point mark. The 31-year-old finished with team-high 34 points, including eight three-pointers, to lift his career total to 10,007 points.

Former NBA player Yi Jianlian added 32 points, but that wasn't enough to beat the red-hot Liaoning.

Liaoning started the game with a 7-0 run, only for the home team to respond with 7-0 as well to level the score.

But the visitors then made too many errors in the later half of the first quarter, allowing Guangdong to build a 27-15 advantage.

The second quarter saw an even better Guangdong team, while Liaoning continued to struggle in shooting. Guangdong closed the first half with a 15-point lead.

Guangdong extended their lead to 18 points after Zhu made his fourth three-pointer in the third period, but Liaoning fought back in the final quarter, trimming the gap to three points following a 10-0 run.

Guangdong looked exhausted in the final quarter, as Liaoning fought hard to even the game before prevailing in the overtime.

Defending champions Beijing won their seventh straight game with a comfortable 130-96 victory over CBA debutants Sichuan. Fang Shuo had team-high 21 points for Beijing. Forward Ji Zhe contributed 20 points and 10 rebounds.

Also on Wednesday, Zhejiang Guangsha defeated Chongqing 120-112, Jiangshu Zhongtian overwhelmed Jiangsu Tongxi 124-90, Qingdao edged Shanghai 109-102, Shanxi outscored Zhejiang Chouzhou 131-123, Xinjiang beat Bayi 84-69, Dongguan crushed Tianjin 133-116, Shandong beat Fujian 109-86.
