China laboured out a 2-2 draw with Haiti in an international soccer friendly at the Helong Stadium here on Friday night.

The hosts fell behind twice in the game, but finally equalised thanks to substitute midfielder Yu Dabao's 82nd-minute strike.

Jeff Louis put Haiti ahead in the 34th minute with an easy goal into the empty net after stealing the ball from goalkeeper Wang Dalei inside the penalty area.

China levelled after the interval from substitute striker Yang Xu's diagonal half-volley in the box following Ji Xiang's right wing cross.

The visitors made it 2-1 on 73 minutes. Left winger Wilde Guerrier received a pin-point through pass from Duckens Nazon and netted home with an accurate shot into the far corner.

Yu Dabao became the hero of the hosts. The attacking midfielder headed home at the goalmouth from a corner in the 82nd minute. It was Yu's first touch of the ball after he went on to the pitch 20 seconds before.

Haiti had another great chance before the end of the game, but Louis wasted a clear one-on-one chance when his shot was parried by substitute keeper Yan Junling.

China will play Tunisia friendly in Nanjing on March 31.
