Former world No. 1 Lee Chong Wei cemented his strong comeback to the badminton circuit, taking his third consecutive Super Series title at the Hong Kong Open yesterday.

Former world No. 1 shuttler Lee Chong Wei from Malaysia made a strong comeback by winning his third consecutive Super Series title at the Hong Kong Open on Sunday.

Lee beat China's world No. 10 Tian Houwei 21-16, 21-15 in the final.

Coming back to arena in May this year after an 8-month ban, Lee won the back-to-back title in China Open last week and his world ranking surged violently from No. 180 to No. 6 in six months.

At the age of 33, Lee said his next goal is the 2016 Olympic Games.

"Now my goal is to qualify for the Olympics and go to the top four in the world," said Lee, who only collected two silver medals in London and Beijing Olympics.

"But 2016 is for certain my last Olympics, there is no chance for me to play in 2020," said Lee.
