China maintained the lead in the final series of ISSF Rifle and Pistol World Cup in Gabala, Azerbaijan, while Serbia and Ukraine secured the second and the third place respectively, local media said Friday.
Over 600 athletes from 45 countries and regions competed in the event, which is slated from June 8-14.
China sent a 30-member team, which pocketed the fourth and fifth medals in the event as Lin Yuemei climbed atop the women's 25m pistol podium alongside her teammate Zhang Jingjing, who won bronze. South Korea's Kim Minjung placed second.
After winning one gold and one bronze in the women's 10m air pistol during the first two World Cup stages of the season, the 23-year-old Lin ruled the 25m pistol final with 36 hits.
Lin, who entered the final with the highest qualification score, held the lead from the very start, as she nailed a perfect 5-hits in her first series.
