Shanghai SIPG earn 2-2 tie with Guangzhou Evergrande

Visiting Guangzhou Evergrande had to accept a 2-2 tie with Shanghai SIPG to hold on the top place in the standings on Saturday in the 18th round of the 2017 Chinese Super League season.

Guangzhou Evergrande tied with Shanghai SIPG 0-0 in the first half. Then Brazilian striker Alan broke the deadlock for Guangzhou Evergrande in the 51st minute from Gaolin's pass.

However, Shanghai SIPG's forward Wu Lei equalized six minutes later.

Yu Hanchao scored in the 69th minute from Gaolin's pass to gift the defending champions 2-1 lead.

But Wu Lei scored again in the 85th minute to make the game end in a draw of 2-2.

Jiangsu Suning got their second win in this season of the league by crushing Liaoning 4-0 at home and escaped from the relegation zone.

Argentinean Roger Martinez's header in the 19th minute blew the attack horns for Suning, and Wang Song scored in the 61st minute from Benjamin Moukandjo's pass. Yang Xiaotian scored in the 76th minute and Benjamin Moukandjo scored in the 90th minute.

Elsewhere, Chongqing Lifan took four winning streaks after beating Tianjin Teda 2-1. Guizhou Hengfeng beat Hebei China Fortune 4-3, and Shandong Luneng beat Changchun Yatai 3-2.
