Polivoda Oleksandr from Ukraine's Kolss Cycling Team (KLS) claimed his second victory at the 9th stage from the Tour of Qinghai Lake on Monday.
Jacopo Mosca from Italy's Wilier Triestina-Southeast (WIL) and Buts Vitaly from Kolss came second and third respectively.
"Winning stage 9 is a surprise," said Oleksandr, also winner of stage 8, "Thanks all my teammates, because it's all their help that contribute to my victory."
After a tough competition over five hours, only the blue jersey changed hands. Yevgeniy Gidichi took it over from teammate Astafyev Stepan and became the best Asian rider again.
Yonnatta Monsalve from China's TYD kept the yellow jersey as the top rider of the general individual classification.
The green jersey and polka dot jersey were still kept by Orken Ahmet from Turkey's TRK and Ortega Ramire from Chinese Taipei's RTS respectively.
Stage 9 from Ping'an to Linxia covered a total distance of 235km, with one intermediate sprint and one 3-level climb.
After the rest day on July 25, the riders will go on with stage 10 from Songmingyan to Dingxi.
