Ticket sales for the National Hockey League's two preseason China games have started.

The North America-based league is making its debut in China with two games between the Los Angeles King and the Vancouver Canucks. The first game is scheduled in Shanghai on September 21, to be followed by the second stopover in Beijing two days later.

Tickets for the Shanghai game to be held at Pudong's Shanghai Mercedes-Benz Arena range from 220 yuan (US$32) to 1,280 yuan. Fans can log on to www.damai.cn for tickets of both matches. The year 2017 marks the 100th year since the establishment of the NHL, which is keen to popularize ice hockey in China, the host of the 2022 Winter Olympic Games.
