German Brose Bamberg defeated Serbian basketball champions Red Star 75-69 in the 5th round of the Euroleague on Thursday.

In a match played in front of 6,000 basketball fans at the Belgrade Arena, Bamberg gained a significant 12-point lead in the first quarter, mostly thanks to points of Rubit Augustine.

Although trailing 30-18, Serbian team made a comeback in the second quarter, with Mathias Lessort as the leader of the team in points, but their effort was not enough to take over the initiative.

Bamberg started the third quarter by 43-34 which was reduced to 6 points before the final quarter, but they managed to keep the tempo until the end.

Taylor Rochestie had the game-high 22 points for Red Star.
