Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is the leading vote-getter in the ongoing 2018 NBA All-Star voting, already sets his eyes on the Cleveland Cavaliers' LeBron James for All-Star pick.

Hoping to spice up the All-Star Game, the NBA has implemented a unique format for this year's contest in which the vote winner in each conference will pick teams from a selected pool of starters and reserves.

After 12 days of voting, Antetokoumpo now holds a slim lead over five-time MVP James in the East Conference with nearly 900,000 votes, and he already knows who he wants if he finishes on top.

"I gotta go with LeBron James, the best player in the world," Antetokounmpo said on Friday, "so we can have a good relationship for the free agent. You never know."

James will become a free agent next summer and there are rumors that he might leave the Cavs for better development.

The All-Star Game starters including the two captains will be revealed on Jan. 18 and the reserves on Jan. 23. The team rosters will be announced on Jan. 25. The 2018 NBA All-Star Game will take place at Staples Center in Los Angeles on Feb. 18.
