Beijing secured its ticket to the playoffs of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league, by defeating Sichuan 111-97 in the 35th round of the regular season on Sunday.

Beijing translated half of its 30 three-pointer attempts into points, with Justin Hamilton making a team-high 24 points and 11 rebounds, while Sichuan's Jamaal Franklin contributed a game-high 41 points and 15 rebounds.

During the third quarter, Beijing nailed six 3-pointers, cornering the 2015-16 winner into a desperate situation, and savored a sweet revenge after Sichuan stopped it from the last season playoffs in the last round.

And the runner-up Liaoning beat old rival Shanghai 104-98. With Zhejiang losing to Guangzhou 126-121, Shanghai still remained only one game behind Zhejiang for the 11th place.

In other actions of the day, Qingdao was edged by Jiangsu 110-94, Jilin lost to Shenzhen 105-94 and Shanxi smashed Bayi 106-87.
