Shandong's Ding Yanyuhang goes up for a basket in the game.

Shandong beat Guangsha 107-99 Friday evening to tie it 1-1 in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league semifinals.

Ty Lawson led Shandong with 34 points with Ding Yanyuhang and Donatas Motiejunas adding 27 and 24 points respectively. Shandong captain Sui Ran was ejected after receiving his second technical foul late in the second quarter.

"This game is not easy for us, there were ups and downs," said Motiejunas, who added nine rebounds and four steals for Shandong. "We are going home with more confidence, but we still have to fight the way we fought today."

Coming off Wednesday's 128-118 victory in Game 1, Guangsha jumped to a 16-5 lead in the first quarter, but Shandong steadily pulled it back at 24-all and went on to overtake the lead at 51-44 at the end of the first half.

After the game resumed, Shandong improved it to 62-48. Guangsha managed to cut it to 82-81 through an 11-0 run connecting the third and fourth quarters, but Shandong answered with a 12-5 burst and never looked back.

"We committed too many errors (18) today," said Guangsha coach Li Chunjiang. "I think we were not prepared well enough mentally. After Game 1, our mentality was changed. I think We can learn a lot from this loss."

Courtney Fortson scored 24 points for Guangsha while Lin Chih-Chieh, who scored 32 points in Game 1, was held to just nine points.

The next three games of the best-of-seven series will be played in Jinan, Shandong province.
