Beijing Guoan scored three goals within 10 minutes to win the first-ever Beijing derby 4-0 over Beijing Renhe in the Chinese Super League history on Saturday.

"The game was as hard as we expected, but we had a good performance. It was important for us to keep a clean sheet, the solid defence was the foundation of our victory, I am satisfied with that," said Guoan coach Roger Schmidt.

Guoan dominated the possession at the beginning but couldn't find the net until they earned a free kick in the 43rd minute when Jonatan Soriano curled it into the top corner with both power and precision.

The home side doubled the lead just two minutes into the second half as center-back Yu Yang netted a bullet header in a close range from a corner kick off Renato Augusto.

Guoan rode the momentum to add the third four minutes later as the new signing Jonathan Viera cut inside from the left and unleashed a missile to go beyond a helpless Zhang Lie.

Guoan then sealed the match on 83 minutes when substitute Yu Dabao put his name on the scoresheet with a penalty kick four minutes after coming off the bench.

Later, Renhe striker Jaime Ayovi scored a goal but was flagged offside.
