Shandong Luneng's winning streak of three straight victories was terminated by Guizhou Hengfeng as the latter grabbed its first win 2-0 into the 2018 season on Sunday.

After three defeats in a row in as many rounds of the Chinese Super League (CSL) season, Guizhou casted aside the clouds to taste its first victory eventually in the fourth round.

Steve Trawally, a former striker for Yanbian Fude, broke the deadlock for Guizhou in the 30th minute, and Mario Suarez added the second with a header in the 70th minute after receiving Fan Yunlong's corner.

After Sunday's matches, Shanghai SIPG leads the table by three points over runner-up Guangzhou Evergrande, while Shandong Luneng ranks third on goal differences.

Debutant Richmond Boakye put Jiangsu Sunning ahead against Tianjin Teda with a penalty in the 75th minute, after Cao Yang was penalized for a handball. Alex Teixeira enlarged Sunning's advantages through a fantastic long shot in the 76th minute.

Teda's Aparecido da Silva put one back in the 81st minute.

"Thanks to my teammates and fans," Boakye said after the game.

When talking about Sunning's newly-promoted head coach Cosmin Olaroiu, Boakye said: "he give us self-confidences and ambitions for win, although he only took over his position last week."
