Cristiano Ronaldo saved one point for Real Madrid as the Los Blancos drew 1-1 at home to Athletic Bilbao in La Liga on Wednesday.

Ronaldo's goal came at only three minutes from time. Luka Modric shot from outside the penalty area and Ronaldo got a slight touch on the ball to flick it into the net.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner has set a scoring run of 12 straight games, in which he has scored 22 goals.

Athletic took a suprising lead in the 14 minute when Inaki Williams picked up the through-ball from Inigo Cordoba, and his magnificent lob over past Madrid's goalkeeper Keylor Navas.

The point keeps Madrid, on the league table, three points clear of Valencia who lost to Getafe 2-1 on the same day.
