Chelsea's Brazilian international midfielder Willian said on Monday that there was no chance he would still be at the club if Antonio Conte had remained in charge.
Conte was sacked as Chelsea boss in July and replaced by former Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri, who favors a more attacking style of football and Willian is clearly happy with the change.
The Brazilian's 44 goals in 238 games for Chelsea tempted FC Barcelona to make three separate bids for him over the summer, all of which were rejected, with Willian opting to stay in London.
"I am here because I want to play for Chelsea and I will only leave if they want me to go," he said in declarations published on Sky Sports.
However, when asked whether he would still be at the club if Conte was still at the helm, he replied, "No chance. No."
Chelsea kicked off their Premier League season with a 3-0 win away to Huddersfield on Saturday and will face Arsenal at home in their second match next weekend.
Arsenal lost their league opener 2-0 at home to Manchester City, but are unbeaten in their last six matches against Chelsea, something the winger hopes will change.
"I think we have a good chance to turn the results around against them because now we have a different way to play football," said Willian, who is clearly relishing Sarri's more aggressive tactics over Conte's more cautious approach.
"The manager tells us to play, to enjoy ourselves on the pitch, with responsibility. Now we have a different style, that's why we can create problems for Arsenal," he added. Enditem
