Manchester City's 24-year-old French international left back Benjamin Mendy says he is ready to put his mobile phone to one side to help his side retain the Premier League title.
Mendy missed much of last season with a knee injury, but kept himself involved with a series of appearances and comments on social media.
Although he is now fit and played in both of his side's wins at the start of the new season, Manchester City coach, Pep Guardiola publically warned the defender to "forget the social media a little bit and improve a few things," and Mendy says that is what he is going to do.
"When I am at the training center, I don't use my phone but instead I listen to the manager," said Mendy.
"The manager is the manager. If he says something, I need to listen to him. So I keep low, and on the pitch I give everything for the team and the fans," he continued.
Mendy admits the fans may miss his forays on 'Twitter and Instagram' but Mendy said he knows it the most important.
"I know the fans love it, but the manager is the chief of the team, so when he says something I have to listen to him. Every player understands this. So in the dressing room, everywhere, I don't pick up my phone," he concluded.
