Newly promoted Nuremberg have reinforced their midfield with the transfers of Virgil Misidjan and Matheus Fellipe Costa Pereira, the Bundesliga club confirmed on Friday.

Dutchman Virgil Misidjan penned an undisclosed contract and joined from Bulgarian giants Ludogorets Razgrad whereas Brazilian winger Matheus Fellipe Costa Pereira put pen to paper on a season-long loan deal.

"Virigil brings all the requirements we needed for our squad. He is two-footed, agile, fast and a dribbler," Nuremberg's sporting director Andreas Bornemann said.

Misidjan wore since 2013 Ludogorets jersey and marked 35 goals in 129 competitive appearances.

"I had five great years in Bulgaria but now I think it is time for a new experience in a new league. I am glad that I have found the perfect club with Nuremberg," Virgil Misidjan said.

Nuremberg sealed the deal also with Matheus Fellipe Costa Pereira, who joins on loan until the end of the season from Sporting Clube de Portugal.

"It was worth for us that we held out to the end in the tough struggle of signing him. Matheus expends our option in the offense," Bornemann said.

Newly promoted Nuremberg see Mainz for their second round in Bundesliga on Saturday.
