Hoffenheim have loaned Reiss Nelson from Premier League outfit Arsenal London, both clubs said on Friday.
The 18-year-old talent inked a loan deal until the end of the current campaign and will stay until June 2019.
"I am delighted that we were able to sign a young player with extraordinary skills. Due to our injury crisis we have decided to sign another alternative for the attacking midfield," Hoffenheim's sporting director Alexander Rosen said.
The new arrival, who received the jersey no. 9, made overall 16 competitive appearances for Arsenal's first team.
"At Hoffenheim I do not just want to gather match practise at the highest level but also develop myself further. I am convinced that with my qualities I can help the club to achieve its ambitious goals in three competitions," Reiss Nelson said.
Hoffenheim see Freiburg at the 2nd round in Bundesliga on Saturday.
