Eintracht Frankfurt have signed their former goalkeeper Kevin Trapp from Paris-Saint Germain, the Bundesliga side confirmed on Friday.

After three years in the French capital, the 28-year-old custodian rejoins Frankfurt after putting pen to paper on a season long loan deal to stay until June 2019.

"Unfortunately our goalkeeper has suffered a knee injury during our preparation. Now we have the chance to sign Kevin, who is not only ready to play but also an absolute leader," Frankfurt's sporting director Bruno Huebner said.

Trapp played from 2012 until 2015 for the "Eagles" before he joined "PSG" for three years to clinch ten titles.

"For me it was important to join an environment where I feel good and where I can play. I am looking forward to another year at Frankfurt," Kevin Trapp told the club's official homepage.

Eintracht Frankfurt encounter Werder Bremen on the 2nd round in Bundesliga on Saturday.
