Superstar Dwyane Wade confirmed through his social media account on Sunday that he will play his 16th and final season with the Miami Heat next season, and vowed to push the young team to new hights.

"I've always did things my way. I got here because I've done things the way that I feel is right for me and for my family. I feel it's right to ask you guys to join me for one last dance, for one last season," Wade said in the nearly 10-minute video in his twitter account, also posting a picture in which he wears a Heat jersey.

"This is it. I've given this game everything that I have, and I'm happy about that, and I'm going to give it for one last season," he continued.

"This is the hardest decision that I've ever had to make, but it's one of the best decisions that I've had to make as well," Wade added. "To be in this position I'm in, to have the career that I've had, I can't do nothing but smile on it."

Wade, who won three championships in 13 years with the Heat, returned to Miami in February, traded back when things didn't work out with the Cleveland Cavaliers last season. He also spent the 2016-17 season with the Chicago Bulls.

Wade is Miami's all-time leader in games played, points, assists and steals.

"Let's enjoy it," Wade said. "Let's have some joy through the last season. Let's push this young team over the hump and let's write our own story to the end of this career, together. Together," Wade concluded.
