Guizhou Hengfeng were relegated to second tier China League after a 2-0 loss to Guangzhou R&F on Friday in the 28th round of the Chinese Super League (CSL).

Guangzhou R&F wanted a win badly after a five-game losing streak. Eran Zahavi opened the scoring in the 13th minute and Lu Lin sealed the win before the break.

Hengfeng had only 21 points with two rounds left, while the other teams got at least 28 points. The defeat plunged Hengfeng to be the first team relegated in 2018 CSL season.

Shandong Luneng reaped a 2-0 victory over Changchun Yatai with two first-half goals to move up to third place in league standings.

Tianjin Quanjian tied 0-0 with Beijing Guoan. Henan Jianye beat Shanghai Shenhua 2-0.
