Eintracht Frankfurt have reaped their fifth win of the season after beating struggling Stuttgart 3-0 at the curtain raiser of the 10th round in Bundesliga on Friday.

Top scorer Luka Jovic has large shares on the victory after providing two assists to smooth the way for the easy win over bottom side Stuttgart.

The visitors caught a bright start on the road and they though they had opened the scoring with four minutes played but the video assistant referee ruled Ante Rebic's opener offside.

Stuttgart responded immediately but unmarked Mario Gomez headed wide from promising position in the 9th minute.

The "Eagles" assumed control and opened the scoring with their next chance when Sebastien Haller poked home Luka Jovic's defused shot on target with 11 minutes into the game.

Stuttgart wobbled and conceded another goal at the half hour mark as Jovic's cross into the box found Ante Rebic, who headed home the 2-0 lead from very close range.

After the restart, Stuttgart increased the pressure but they lacked in penetration to over Frankfurt's well-positioned defence.

The visitors remained dangerous but had to wait until the closing period before Nicolai Mueller added a third goal to put the result beyond doubt.

With the victory, Eintracht Frankfurt climb to the 3rd place of the standings for the moment meanwhile Stuttgart remain stuck in the Bundesliga bottom after suffering their seventh defeat of the season.

"We give ourselves a hard time. We repeat mistakes and did not manage to show a reaction. It was a disappointing performance," Stuttgart's captain Christian Gentner said.

The following fixtures are scheduled for Saturday: Wolfsburg encounter front runners Borussia Dortmund, runner up Bayern Munich host Freiburg, Schalke see Hannover, Bayern Leverkusen face Hoffenheim, Augsburg clash with newly promoted Nuremberg and Leipzig travel to Hertha Berlin.
