Point guard Guo Ailun of China goes up for a basket in the game.

Yi Jianlian and Guo Ailun teamed up to lead China in successfully gaining vengeance over Lebanon, 72-52, in their final Asian Qualifiers match of 2018.

Things started close between the two teams in a low-scoring first period, but China shifted into high gear in the second quarter to break the game open.

The dynamic duo of Yi and Guo worked wonders for China, enthralling the crowd and putting up big numbers. Yi had 15 points, 8 rebounds and 3 steals, while Guo finished with 13 points, 5 boards and 2 steals for the victors.

It was sweet redemption for Guo, who had one of his worst games in Beirut last September, while Yi missed the trip and watched from home as China lost a close one to the Cedars.

Lebanon struggled for form throughout this game, though, and just couldn't get into any rhythm. Ahmad Ibrahim led the with 14 points, while erstwhile leading scorer Amir Saoud didn't see action.

Lebanon will hope to win their next two games against New Zealand and Korea in February to qualify, while China are set to face Jordan and Syria in the final window of the Asian Qualifiers.
